I was reading her magazine Enjoying Everyday Life today and I swear it was written just for me.
Here are some highlights from the article I read called Fear Got You Cornered...
*Fear always makes everything seem worse than it really is
*The minute fear comes into our lives all we have to do is activate our faith
*When we do, the feeling of fear doesn't always go away but our faith will keep us going, even if we have to do what we do afraid
*God will give us the amount of faith we need to do what He has called us to do in life
*Whatever you're going to face in life, whatever is coming in your future, God has already given you the faith for it
*The enemy would like for us to believe that we don't have a chance in life, we're too weak, too poor, too whatever
*God sees what we can be, what He has invested in us, He sees us through the eyes of love
*It takes faith to move forward and overcome the situations of life
*We release faith through our words, actions and of course prayer
*God will give each of us the faith we need for every part of our journey in life
*It is up to us to act
*What we think about and meditate on is very important
*It doesn't mean we won't feel fear, but it does mean that appearance isn't everything
*It doesn't matter what the enemy wants us to see or how things might look
*1 John 5:4 says...This is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith
*It's so simple. Simple child-like faith.
*That means simply believing God more than you believe anything else
*It means believing His promises...what you know in your heart...more than how you feel, what you think, what your friends or others say, what circumstances look like, or what the devil tells you.
This is alot and only the highlights of the great article that God used to encourage me.
I truly didn't even know I had been fearful until I started reading the article.
Then I felt better because I wasn't allowing myself to acknowledge any fear beacause I felt like that meant that I didn't have faith. But that is not what it means at all.
Like the article said...It doesn't mean we won't feel fear...Our faith overcomes through the One who lives in us. 1 John 4:4...Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just before that article I read one in the same magazine that was called Faith isn't a Feeling...
*We are to live by faith - looking into the Word of God and fixing our eyes on Jesus
*As believers, we don't trust our feelings, but follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and live the promises made to us in Scripture.
*What you are looking at determines whether you live or die, succeed or fail, win or lose
*Realize that you are not alone - you have a God in Heaven cheering you on
*Remove every weight and sin hanging on you and keep running with your eyes on Jesus as your focal point
*Forget those things you left behind, they are only distractions to trip you up
*Keep an attentive, expectant, steady and absorbing gaze on Jesus
*Let us believe the Word of God and see ourselves as Christ
*Jesus was always confessing who He was, what he was, and what His mission in life was
*He is our example and we must do the same
*We must daily have and maintain a spirit of faith
*Jesus said that every believer has tremendous power available in their words
***Our faith must move our mouth before it will move our mountain.***
*Believing is the attitude of faith and speaking is the initial act of faith
Good stuff right!
God is so good and so encouraging and speaks even when I don't really know I need to be spoken to. What an All-knowing Heavenly Father.
What an honor it is to serve such an amzing Heavenly Father.
