A WEEKEND TRIP!!! YAY!!! SEEING AN AMAZING FRIEND!!! A MOMENT AT THE BEACH!!! RELAXING BY THE POOL!!! SEEING MR. WONDERFUL'S FAMILY!!!

Reheated lunch from dinner out last night.

Watched last night's American Idol.

I have a productive plan for my day and that feels good.

Talking to my Pastor about the things that God is up to, I am ready for that.

Today is refreshing and productive. I am thankful.

I cannot wait to worship tonight.

Have a beautiful Wednesday.

I'm 28....

Oh what joys birthdays bring!

Today I turned 28, it's so hard to think that I am actually 28 years old. I don't feel 28 years old and I don't look 28 years old, but indeed I am 28 years old.
(Ha I was hoping that would get easier to hear and say by typing it that many times...NOPE...ha)

It has been a great birthday!!

Last Friday I celebrated with my family, my brother and I had a family party together. I love that.

Today I had lunch with my God mom - yummy Italian food outside in on the deck overlooking the city. It was fantastic. She gave me a beautiful green shirt. I have been wanting a green shirt for quite sometime now and Now I Have One!! I am so excited!! I think it is going to be Beautiful, I plan to wear it on Sunday!

When I got home I found a dress that I saw the other day and just went Ga Ga over, it was hanging right as you walk in the front door, and I found a movie that I have been wanting to see waiting for me to watch it. From Mr. Wonderful! Aaaww Yay!! I love the dress, it's navy blue and looks great with my tanning skin and copper mirrored flip flops. I plan to wear it tomorrow night when Mr. Wonderful takes me out on a date for my birthday.

Tonight my mom is cooking spagetti at my request. Yes more pasta. I may turn into a big ole Noodle before all the birthday celebrations are over.

I have gotten lots of calls, texts, emails, and even a shout out on my friend Lindsey's blog wishing me a Happy Birthday!!!

And I even had a meeting this morning with a staffing agency that went well. It has been a great birthday.

I was reflecting this afternoon on my birthday.
I just began to think about all that has transpired in the last 10 years of my life.
* 10 years ago today I was getting ready for my senior prom. Not a great night actually.
* 9 years ago today I started working at my last job, where I was just layed off.
* 8 years ago - well that wasn't a great year for me.
* 7 years ago I turned my life completely over to the Lord and gave up all my foolish ways.
* 6 years ago I was just LOVIN the Lord.
* 5 years ago I had my very first surprise birthday party at the church surrounded by all my wonerful new family and friends.
* 4 years ago my family took me to see the Blue Angels for my birthday.
* 3 years ago I had a lovely birthday at the lake.
* 2 years ago I had a lovely birhtday at the lake.
* 1 year ago I had a lovely birthday at the lake and Mr. Wonderful was there though at that time we were just friends(but we knew we were meant for each other).
* Today I had a lovely party with my family(last week), a lovely lunch with my God mom, and will have a lovely dinner with my mom, and Mr. Wonderful - the one I waited for all my life - will be taking me on a date for my birthday. Amazing - remember until June of last year I had not dated in 7 years.

God is good and every year with Him gets better and better. He has saved me, changed me, called me, given me an incredible family, brought me my future husband, saved my mother, and countless other things that are just too many to name.

My God is an AWESOME God - truly!

Today I am just so thankful for all He has done in my life these past 7 years.

Fear & Faith

First off - don't you just LOVE Joyce Meyer...She is amazing!

I was reading her magazine Enjoying Everyday Life today and I swear it was written just for me.

Here are some highlights from the article I read called Fear Got You Cornered...

*Fear always makes everything seem worse than it really is

*The minute fear comes into our lives all we have to do is activate our faith

*When we do, the feeling of fear doesn't always go away but our faith will keep us going, even if we have to do what we do afraid

*God will give us the amount of faith we need to do what He has called us to do in life

*Whatever you're going to face in life, whatever is coming in your future, God has already given you the faith for it

*The enemy would like for us to believe that we don't have a chance in life, we're too weak, too poor, too whatever

*God sees what we can be, what He has invested in us, He sees us through the eyes of love

*It takes faith to move forward and overcome the situations of life

*We release faith through our words, actions and of course prayer

*God will give each of us the faith we need for every part of our journey in life

*It is up to us to act

*What we think about and meditate on is very important

*It doesn't mean we won't feel fear, but it does mean that appearance isn't everything

*It doesn't matter what the enemy wants us to see or how things might look

*1 John 5:4 says...This is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith

*It's so simple. Simple child-like faith.

*That means simply believing God more than you believe anything else

*It means believing His promises...what you know in your heart...more than how you feel, what you think, what your friends or others say, what circumstances look like, or what the devil tells you.

This is alot and only the highlights of the great article that God used to encourage me.

I truly didn't even know I had been fearful until I started reading the article.

Then I felt better because I wasn't allowing myself to acknowledge any fear beacause I felt like that meant that I didn't have faith. But that is not what it means at all.

Like the article said...It doesn't mean we won't feel fear...Our faith overcomes through the One who lives in us. 1 John 4:4...Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just before that article I read one in the same magazine that was called Faith isn't a Feeling...
*We are to live by faith - looking into the Word of God and fixing our eyes on Jesus
*As believers, we don't trust our feelings, but follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and live the promises made to us in Scripture.
*What you are looking at determines whether you live or die, succeed or fail, win or lose
*Realize that you are not alone - you have a God in Heaven cheering you on
*Remove every weight and sin hanging on you and keep running with your eyes on Jesus as your focal point
*Forget those things you left behind, they are only distractions to trip you up
*Keep an attentive, expectant, steady and absorbing gaze on Jesus
*Let us believe the Word of God and see ourselves as Christ
*Jesus was always confessing who He was, what he was, and what His mission in life was
*He is our example and we must do the same
*We must daily have and maintain a spirit of faith
*Jesus said that every believer has tremendous power available in their words
***Our faith must move our mouth before it will move our mountain.***
*Believing is the attitude of faith and speaking is the initial act of faith
Good stuff right!
God is so good and so encouraging and speaks even when I don't really know I need to be spoken to. What an All-knowing Heavenly Father.
What an honor it is to serve such an amzing Heavenly Father.
Where I've been...
Well much has happened since I last posted.
After Mr. Wonderful was layed off at work...
I too was layed off.
God is so good and faithful. I know His hand is in this and I know that He has a plan for us. I am truly excited to see how He moves and all that He pulls together for us.
We have had alot of support from friends and family and we are so thankful for all of the prayers and well wishes and ideas and leads.
I know that God is going to open up the doors necessary for both Mr. Wonderful and me.
I am sorry to say that for right now I will not be on much. Please keep your comments coming as they are so encouraging to read. I will pop in as much as possible to keep you all updated on what our Amazing Heavenly Father is up to.
God is good!
Love you all and will update again soon.
God is up to something.
Most definately my Heavenly Father is up to something.
I can't wait to see what He has in store.
Let me just encourage you today...
If it looks as though things are at their worst and you are scared and unsure...this is exactly when God gets the opportunity to Show Up & Show Out. This is when we finally run out and He finally gets to work and move.
We as humans are controllers...we like to control our lives, plan our lives, take charge of our lives. When things go wrong we immediately being to fix things.
When we finally reach the end of what we can do God can finally begin what He wants to do and wanted to do all along.
Some ends have been reached this week. Now we are just waiting to see what God is up to. We trust Him and we are following Him.
Mr. Wonderful lost his job yesterday. The initial reaction was tough, but we quickly grabbed hold of our Faithful Heavenly Father's hand and we will NOT let go.
My job is not secure either, we both worked for the same company, I do not know what will happen by weeks end. I do know that no matter what happens we serve a Faithful & Loving Father and He will take care of us.
My brother was layed off this week as well and Neesie still has not found work either. Times are tough.
I believe with all of my heart that God has a plan for us and that His plan is better than any other plan ever could be. And I cannot wait to see what God is up to and where He leads.
I am thankful that we have each other and an incredible Lord and Savior. The rest will simply be taken care of.
Matthew 6:25-34
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God cothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
So do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat?" or "What shall we drink?" or "What shall we wear?" For the pagans run after these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Therefore do no worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
And that is that...God has us and we trust Him.
Be encouraged today that even in these tough times it's going to be alright. God has THE plan and He knows what is best.
God is who He says He is.
God can do what He says He can do.
I am who God says I am.
I can do all things through Christ.
God's word is alive and active in me.
God's Faithfulness.
Happy Friday to you all!
I wanted to share a story of God's Faithfulness to encourage and uplift all who read.
Money has been tight. My job cut my hours a couple of months ago and it has been a bit difficult.
However, God has been speaking to me about being faithful in giving my tithe again. He said Trust me and I will be Faithful to you.
I determined in my heart that I was going to be faithful in my tithe no matter what.
Just before payday I over spent last week and it indeed hit my bank hard. I knew that if I gave my tithe I would not have the money to pay all the bills that needed to be paid.
But I was still determined to give my tithe. I made sure that was the first check I wrote and I turned it in with joy in my heart.
I was not looking for anything when I turned in that check, I just wanted to be obediant to the Lord. And it felt so good to be obediant.
I woke up Tuesday morning remembering another bill that needed to be paid and trying to balance in my head what I could let go in order to get this one paid as it had to be paid. I had to rework the plan that I had established so that I could be faithful in my tithe.
Well let me just tell you that God has His own plan and it is much better than mine and His includes a Blessing for my obediance.
Now I know that when we are obediant to the Lord especially in paying tithes and offerings that the Lord is faithful and blesses us in return. But when I gave my tithe I did not think anything about the blessing that may come. I was just wanting to be obediant and I knew that no matter what things would be okay. Even if something got turned off because I couldn't pay it, my basic needs were going to be taken care of in my obediance.
But God goes above and beyond taking care of only our basic needs, He blesses. Let me tell you how...
As I said in the beginning of this post, my hours had been cut at work, they cut one day a week which is two days of pay taken from my pay checks.
Monday we were told that we would get to work at one of our retail stores on one of our days off. I was so very thankful and considered that a huge blessing. I knew God was being faithful to me.
When I came in to work Tuesday our schedule for working was sitting in my inbox. When I looked at the schedule I realized that not only will I be working on one of my days off but on two of my days off. Which means I will get a full paycheck on the 15th.
Gals, that is God's faithfulness. I am one of two ladies that got two days instead of just one day. I was so thankful for the one day to be added back, but God went above and beyond and gave me two days which will bring me back to full pay for the next paycheck.
I should be able to pay all my bills if I am not frivilous as I was last pay period.
God honors and rewards our obediance. He knows what is best for us. He doesn't ask us to do something and then punish us for it. He takes care of His children abundantly.
God is who He says He is.
He can do what He says He can do.
I am who God says I am.
I can do all things through Christ.
God's Word is alive and active in me.
Father, Thank You for speaking to me about obediance, for loving me enough to correct me. And thank you for your Faithfulness to me. Thank you for your blessings. Thank You Father. Thank You. In Jesus name. Amen.
Today
Extremely busy day today.
But even still I am reminded that God covers ALL bases and He sees the ENTIRE picture.
He knew exactly where I would need to stand today and He put the pieces in places long before today for me to stand.
God is Good and Faithful and it is an Honor to serve him and Crucify myself to glorify and honor Him.
I love you Father. Thank you. Thank you.
Weekend Review.
Here's what the weekend held...
Friday night after my terrible, horrible, no good attitude and mood passed and after I had officially been a butt to everyone....and spent some time alone getting a handle on myself...
Mr. Wonderful and I headed out to the middle of the track behind my apartment with a blanket and lantern to play cards...I won! (Pics taken on Mr. Wonderful's cell phone)...
Our new Lantern...
Mr. Wonderful & Me...
Saturday was awesome! Mr. Wonderful joined us at Junior Bible Quiz State Finals...where our team came in 4th place and advanced to Regionals...GO TEAM!!...I got to Quiz Master which I love and I got some great experience with Appeals too...and Mr. Wonderful LOVED it all as well...he is a stragetist so his mind was reeling with coacing strategies that I hope he gets to use next year...it was a great day...
Our 4th Place Team...these boys ROCK!...
I had so much fun with these guys I love them!...
Saturday afternoon we went to eat Mexican and see a movie with some friends and had a great time. I can't wait to hang out with Jerrod and Ashley again!!! Jerrod is Mr. Wonderful's Best Friend and I loved seeing them together...they are a hoot!
Sunday was jam packed as well!! We had drama practice durning Sunday School and it went great...we are doing a multi generational Human Video for Easter and we incorporated the youth during this practice.
Children's Church was great. We learned about Chile and the children and missionaries there. Miss Marcia does such a great job of teach and sharing.
Then it was back to Drama Practice. We pracited the Generations human video for about an hour, I have a main part in it and I was shaking like a leaf the first several times we ran through the video. But I got better as we did it more. I'm very nervous about doing it Sunday morning for Eater. Yikes!
Then we had KOR Drama Practice(the kids). They did a great job and worked so hard this week and we ended up getting to let practice out 30 minutes early!!
I had a great time with the kids, playing with them and loving on them and teaching them.
It was a busy and very LONG day. I struggle simply being around people but powered through. I just go through moments when I have so much going on inside me that it's difficult to face people and greet people and interact with people. I did not do a great job of interacting with people on Sunday except playing with the kids.
I spent some much needed time with the Lord when I got home Sunday afternoon and I felt better. The Lord reminded me that His Mercies are new every day and the next day was a new day. I needed that new day.
Monday Encouragement.
God is who He says He is.
God can do what He says He can do.
I am who God says I am.
I can do all things through Christ.
God's Word is alive and active in me.
It's the end of the day...
The work day is ending...
I am ever so thankful...
I am spent...
Yet driving home in a storm seems more wonderful than one could imagine...
Days have been long and some have been tough...
Yet I am thankful for the things I have that are good...
Father I give you all the things I have, all the things I face, all the issues in my heart, all the thoughts in my mind, all the feelings I feel...be my shield, my strength, my wisdom, my love, my hope, and my ALL. I love you Heavenly Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit. I want to bring glory and honor to You. Lead me and guide me, change me and protect me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Addictions
Ok I am going to admit I have a few addictions...I thought I'd let it all out...
Worship...one of my better addictions.
McDonald's Ice Cream Cones...hey they are only about 150 calories...yes!
Cherry Carmex...I think they make this with something that causes an addiction...can't live without it.
DVR...I actually have impulses to fast forward commercials on the radio not...it's a sickness...once you go DVR you never go back...
***Forgot...Dove Chocolate...oh my oh my...what do you even say about Dove Chocolate...I have to have it! And I love the little messages inside too!!***
Hi my name is Tabbie and I'm a Worshipaholic, Ice Cream Coneaholic, Carmexaholic, DVRaholic, Chocolaholic. Phew I feel better, glad I got that all out in the open.
So guess what...I am so down to 165lbs!! I never want to see 170 again!!!
Guess that's all for now. Have a great Thursday everyone. If any of you need to share your addictions...go ahead...what a release...hee hee!!
