Spirit of God

Spirit of God
We cry out for you now
We cry out
Where would we be without you Jesus
Where would we be without you Lord

Sweet Sweet Powerful Spirit of God

I have to recap the incredible services that we had at church last week. The Spirit just came in and moved and worked and it was so REFRESHING!

Sunday Morning was so sweet!! I went into the sancturary and worshipped with the adults. Worship was so sweet. I just couldn't help but pour myself out to God for all His goodness. Especially all of His recent faithfulness with Mr. Wonderful's mom and my mom and what I knew he would do for my Mammaw.
I then went into Children's Church to help PT with a project. Worship in there was so sweet too. I just watched and worshipped from my perch on the floor in the back. The Spirit of God was so sweet in that place. Then at altar time the Spirit moved mightly. I could not even continue working on the project. I just say in the back on the floor and weeped for all God was doing and prayed for those precious children. My heart is to see God move like that EVERY week. To see those children be in the presence of God like that EVERY week. We need that, they need that. It was Beautiful and I know God did a mighty work in hearts and lives. I know that children's lives and hearts were touched by the sweet Spirit of the Lord. It was really wonderful.

Wednesday night was incredible as well. Worship never ended. The Spirit met us in that place and once He begain He did not stop. Call after call. There was a message given to the body and it was beautiful to watch those students respond to God. After that testimonies were given, one by one. It was so moving and so life changing. To see one testimony after the other touch and inspire. Each testimony broke my heart but then it was beautiful to watch as each student turned the bad into teaching and learning and inspiration for others. That is what ministry is all about. That is my heart. That is my life. It was incredible and I wish I never had to leave that atmosphere. The students amazed me and my heart swelled with pride, and broke for them all at the same time. You just never really know the things kids go through these days. But our students are using their testimonies to inspire and reach others. It was Beautiful.

God is so good and I want to feel His Sweet Spirit in my life like that everyday. I want to draw closer to Him. To The One who Loves beyond comprehension. To The One who has shaped my heart to love Him and Ministry and People so.

Tale of the stranded kitty

Outside Kitty

That's her name alright, she lives outside so that's just who she is. She showed up and started hanging around. She is sweet and petitie and loving. My neighbor and I sort of share joint custody of her. Ha. Actually she belongs more to my neighbor because she now feeds her and has taken her inside. I couldn't becuase my kitty Tater is not all about sharing his space. But Mr. Wonderful and I shower her with lots of love when we are chillin on the porch.

Well yesterday Outside Kitty ended up in the pine tree in front of my lil apartment. She was stranded up there ALL day. We tried everything to get her down. Food, calling her, coaching her, calling the fire dept (who never showed up - gee I guess they don't save lil kitties stranded in trees anymore - gggrrr), throwing tennis balls at her (so not my idea and I was not happy about it). Poor baby was up high in that tree literally all day and well into the night.

She evidently fell out of the tree when the wind picked up last night. Poor baby. I hear she has a limp right now but I haven't gotten to see her. I need to hold my sweet Outside Kitty. She had a tramatic experience and I just want to hold her and tell her everything is going to be okay.

Doesn't that just break your heart. I felt so helpless. I hated that I couldn't just scale that tree and rescue my lil kitty.

Tater I am sure taunted her from every window all day. Mean lil man. But maybe he was sending sweet kitty wave of encouragement to her instead. I DOUBT IT!

So NO THANKS to our local Fire Department for their help! Sheesh, is it too much to ask to raise you ladder to save a sweet precious scared kitty.
Here's Sweet lil Outside Kitty...

5 Faith Statements

1. God is who He says He is.
2. God can do what He says He can do.
3. I am who God says I am.
4. I can do all things through Christ.
5. God's Word is alive and active in me.

I am recommitting to speak these 5 Faith Statements everyday and find a bracelet to wear to remind me as well. I want my Faith in the Risen King to be stronger than EVER before, even stronger that just before Thailand. I want to increase my Faith and just sink into my Heavenly Father and who He is and who He says I am! I may re-read this book, where these Faith Statements com from, Beth Moore's book Believing God.

God is SO GOOD and Faithful!!

Let me start by saying...

GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!

There has been much going on lately and we have been praying diligently and God is faithful. Let me fill you in.

About Two weeks ago we found out that Mr. Wonderful's mom was diagnosed with cancer again they had found about five different spots including her breast and liver. She has survived Breast Cancer twice. This was very difficult news for Mr. Wonderful to get. We immediately being to pray and believe in God and trust Him. The second report was a little better they found fewer spots but were still waiting on tests results and such. This past friday she went back to the doctor and they found only three small spots, all can be treated with medication only. She will need no surgery and no treatments!! Halleuiah THE LORD IS GOOD AND FAITHFUL. We are all excited by the news and I weep everything Mr. Wonderful shares the good news!!! I am so thankful to God for being so wonderful and faitful to us. He would have been faithful even had this gone otherwise but I am so grateful that He showed Himself mighty in this area. I fully believe that our Heavenly Father answered our prayers and healed Mr. Wonderful's mom. The fact that each report was better and better just shows how awesome God is. He was working and healing and I am so thankful to Him. He get's ALL the Glory for it!!!

Thursday I took my mother to the emergency room. She has had a terrible pain in her side and back and was having trouble breathing. My mother has a high tolerance for pain so when she called in tears and ready to go to the hospital I knew things were not good. I prayed all the way to her house and God just filled me with the most incredible peace you could ever imagine. That peace stayed with me all day as I comforted and reassured my mother that everything was going to be okay. God said that no matter what He was in control and He was going to take care of everything from my mom's health to the money. I believed that with all my heart and did not doubt. God did just that, mom's diagnosis wasn't at all what it could have been. They suspected a blood clot in her lungs and she suspected cancer...it was neither. She does have Emphysema and Bronchitis and has pulled a muscled in her back. She is still in a good bit of pain but today when I talked to her she sounded more like herself than she has in weeks. The pain is beginning to be managable and the antibiotics are helping her to feel and breathe better. I think this is what it took to get her to stop smoking. The Doctor said if she quits after 5 years she has the same chance as anyone who doesn't smoke!! God knows exactly what it takes to get us to do what we need to do. He IS in control and knows best. I was so glad to hear my mom sound so much better today. Halleuigh THE LORD IS GOOD!!

Sunday my Mammaw fell and broke her hip. She is being so strong and brave through all this. I am now praying diligently for her. She will have surgery today. I am praying and believing that the healing will be quick and that she would have the motivation to do the therapy diligently. I am praying that the pain will be minimal and that she will be strong and filled with peace. I am praying that my family will have patience and peace through this process. I am praying for peace that surpasses all understanding. I am praying for strength and believing that God is in control and trusting Him entirely. He is in control and He does know best and He loves so much we cannot even begin to understand really.

God is so Good and so Faithful. He knows what is best for His children.

Thank you Father so much for your Faitfullness and Peace. Thank you for being our Healer, our Comforter, our Peace, and our Strength. I love you Father and I give you all the glory for the amazing things taking place. I love you and trust in you with all my heart. In Jesus name. Amen.

It's a Tuesday.

Tuesday - it's a random Tuesday.

God is good. Life is peaceful. Hope is high. Happiness abounds. Love prevails.

It's a Tuesday.

Nothing special going on. I have a job, I have a relationship with my Savior, I have a family who loves and forgives, I have love for and from a man God created for me, I have a future.

I have the Son shining down on me.

It's just a Tuesday.

Father I love you. I am thankful for you. I Thank you. I seek you, I desire you, I long for you. I worship you. I trust you. I believe in you. I Praise you. I love you. I serve you. I Thank you. In Jesus name. Amen.

Valentine's Day '09

Sweet Sweet Day!

Started the day off at my Parents...I got a sweet Valentine's treat from them in MY bag...they always give the sweetest things and they never pass any holiday without showing us they love us. Thanks guys. I love you. Yall are the best!

Then my brother and I took them out to breakfast at Panera!! We had a great time chatting about whatever ran across our lil minds. The food was good OF COURSE and the tea and coffee too!! Glad we had breakfast together I ejoyed the time together!!!

I then headed home to bake Mr. Wonderful a cake for Valentine's Day. I was nervous but excited to do it. It turned out to be my favorite gift I gave him!!

Here are pictures from my cake baking journey...

I really over did Valentine's Day but it was fun...I didn't get to over do Christmas so I made up for it...
Mr. Wonderful got:
*Two books (two because they are a series)
*A calendar (it was the calendar I wanted to get him for Christmas but I couldn't find it so when I found it I had to get it)
*A homemade cake (because it was from the heart and he had mentioned homemade cakes not too long ago - it was my favorite gift to give him - I love spending the time baking it for him!)
*His favorite candy bar (just because it's his favorite)
And I wrapped it all in some cute paper I have been dying to use forever...

Mr. Wonderful planned a reverse date...
1) Cold Stone Creamery - Our favorite Icre Cream place for our favorite ice cream
2) Taken - Movie (we actually snuck our ice cream into the movie in my purse)
3) BoneFish/Superior Grill - Dinner (our restaraunt was PACKED and the wait was 2 hours so we went to another place that was super yummy and I had been craving)
4) Gift - My favorite - Dove Chocolate! It doesn't get much better than that.
* Note Mr. Wonderful was sick and took me out anyway. The lil stinker said he was feeling fine but indeed he was not. How sweet is he.
* We ran into my parents at the movies they were double dating with a couple of friends. They were all the cutest! It was fun to see them there and chat with them for a minute. They had actually already eaten at BoneFish. So fun that we were doing some of the same things they did.
It was a very sweet evening. Very thoughtful. Mr. Wonderful even reminded me to take pictures together when I forgot (Gasp how did that happen). That was so sweet because he hates to take pictures and he was sick. What a sweet sweet man God blessed me with!! He was so sweet and thoughtful the whole evening!!
Here we are at the end of our sweet evening...

Thank you Father for a perfect Valentine's Day. i only wish I could have gotten a little treat over to mom, but time did not permit. Thank you Father for my wonderful family and for Mr. Wonderful. Jesus you are still my favorite Valentine!! In Jesus name. Amen.

Heartsong Banquet '09

My lovely table co-host(my Mom) and me...
My Neesie and me...

My future sister in law and me...

Mom and my table...We made the place mats, napkins, and pillow...the pillows were the gifts to our lovely guests...it was a simple and elegant table I think...

Other tables...they were all so unique and wonderful...I loved them all...

I loved love loved the one below...loved the plates and cake...so gorgeous...

The incredible men of our church served us dinner and parked our cars...they are amazing...Mr. Wonderful IS indeed in this picture...but he managed to hide from my camera in every picture I got...but he did an amazing job serving and I was so proud to have him there...my heart was just so full...such a proud girlfriend I am!

I could kick myself for not getting more pictrues. It was a busy night. The speaker was so Wonderful!! She was fun and real and the message she shared was great! I really am upset that I did not get a picture of her and her beautiful art work. She is so creative and amazing. She sings beautifully, speaks amazingly, and paints incredibly. She was a real blessing!!! I loved her!!

Valentine's Day Weekend

~This will be the first Valentine's Day in 7 years that Jesus isn't my only Valentine.

~I could not be more excited by that...excited that I had Jesus as my Valentine for 7 years and my brothers and my dad and loved it. I didn't feel bitter or discontented. I just felt loved and okay.

~I could not be more excited that I have Mr. Wonderful for Valentine's this year either. Because it is God's timing an not my own. And because I know this is God's choosing and not my own.

~I am excited about the Heartsong Banquet tonight and the speaker, to see all the tables, to have my future sister in law there, to have my mom as a memeber of the church instead of just a visitor at the banquet, to see her pouring her heart into this.

~I can't wait to have breakfast with my parents and my brother Saturday morning for Valentine's Day! I really can't wait!

~I can't wait go out on an actual date this year for Valentine's Day with the man that is Beyond my dreams. The man that my Heavenly Father created just for me. The man that God blessed me with. The man that I will spend the rest of my life with.

~I knew that the next person I dated would be the one I spent the rest of my life with.

~That's why I didn't just date, I did't want to just date, anyone can get a date, it wasn't about instant gratification for me. It was about waiting for God's plan, waiting for The One God had planned for me and waiting for His timing. I can't believe that its all finally here!

~I am excited about what I have for Mr. Wonderful for Valentine's Day! Now I just have to find time to get it all together.

~This really is going to be a VERY busy weekend!

~I think there is lots and lots of work to be done.

Happy Valentine's Day to you all!!

Random things...

*Won't get back to the gym until Sunday, the rest of the week is super busy!

*I still like going to the gym!

*I can't wait to see what Valentine's Day holds this year. I haven't been in a relationship on Valentine's Day in over 7 years. Exciting!
